Why learn to evaluate arguments?

Whenever we attempt to answer a challenging question or provide a solution to a complex problem, it's really important for us to make meaningful claims that are supported by good evidence (see How to Build an Argument).

Learning to evaluate our peers' arguments is one of the most important ways to develop our critical thinking abilities. Once we learn this, it becomes a skills that we use over and over again throughout our lives.
